… Were founded in 1939 at the 14th International Boule of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. Sigma Gamma Rho believes in training young girls to be leaders in their own lives and their communities so they can make a difference. The sorority's motto of "Greater Service, Greater Progress" reflects its drive to guide girls to serve their community to improve the quality of life for all. Rhoers are taught the importance of scholarship because only through education will anyone ever reach their full potential.
... Are organized on the local, regional and national levels. Local clubs are advised by chapters of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. and attend annual regional meetings to meet other Rhoers from their region. Every two years Rhoers attend the sorority's International Boule and get a chance to meet Rhoers from all over the country to exchange ideas, receive training and have lots of FUN.
